How Can You Be Involved?
If you would like support in providing an inclusive space for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, follow the steps below to subscribe to the initiative.
As part of the Lending a Hand Initiative:
- we welcome, include and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a disability
- we are committed to creating communities where culture is celebrated and valued
- we are committed to working collaboratively and walking respectfully alongside our Aboriginal communities
- we celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander diversity.
Businesses or organisations who can demonstrate that they have the relevant knowledge on how to provide inclusive services, and pledge to uphold the initiative’s commitments, are added into the member directory and receive a welcome pack which includes:
- promotional sticker(s) to display at the organisation/business entrance
- a charter that outlines the commitments made by the organisation/business to ensure it is culturally aware and inclusive
- further information on the initiative.
Your subscription offers benefits, including:
- increased awareness of your business / organisation in your community
- promotion of your services
- demonstration of your commitment to creating an inclusive community
- the potential to reach a wide market.
